ECOPETROL (COLOMBIA) IN BOUND PROCUREMENT MISSION: A BREAKFAST SESSION

The Government of Alberta and the Canadian Council for the Americas (Alberta Chapter) - CCA - are pleased to announce that a procurement delegation from Colombia's national oil company ECOPETROL will be visiting Calgary the week of November 23, 2009.

ECOPETROL's current production is 527,000 BOED representing a 12.9% increase for the third quarter 2009. Their capex is expected to exceed US$6.2 billion for 2009. They expect production to increase at the same rate in 2010 and reach a production of 1M BOED in 2015. To reach these targets they need to expand their O&G service base in Colombia by growing there local companies as well as attracting international O&G service suppliers.

During this visit we will be offering a breakfast presentation where representatives from ECOPETROL's procurement, production and possibly exploration areas will deliver a presentation on ECOPETROL's procurement process and some of their current needs in different areas followed by a question and answer period.

The Government of Alberta will then be organizing one-on-one meetings through out the week with Alberta companies who have products, equipment, services and/or technologies used in the exploration and production areas interested in meeting with ECOPETROL.
